Wowhead? More like Transmoghead.
Did you know that Wowhead has it's own transmog set section? This was a feature they added in November 2011. If you only go there for the database, you might have missed the announcement. And so:

It's a pretty diverse listing of various sets. There's an individual page for each set, along with a list of items for each slot. In many cases there's multiple items listed, which is great if you can't get a certain one for whatever reason. There's thumbnails to give previews of sets, so you can quickly skim through them all. You can use their 3D model viewer to view the set on any race, so you'll have an idea of what it'll look like on your character. Also, there's comments on most pages. Those have been very helpful when a set I'm after is, say, missing artwork for the shoulders. Or the boots are the wrong kind. People have posted things that have lead me to other options, in those cases.
In typical Wowhead fashion, there's many ways to filter the results. You can search by armor type, item quality, itemlevel, and much more. You can even attempt to sort it by color, although your mileage may vary on that one.
The best use I've personally found for it is discovering new looks. I've found sets that I didn't even know were in the game.
