Steadfast Mail

So my Hunter is wearing Steadfast Mail, though I was missing bracers and belt to the set. I actually removed my belt from the gear slot it looked so bad. My bracer's only showed a small bit though they were white so it was driving me crazy. I finally decided to replace them for now with Defender Bracers that I found on my AH for cheap.

I tried enlisting people over this last weekend to farm me both items for 10k a piece, though the one taker I had on that offer gave up in utter exasperation after countless runs of Mauradon and DM. So my question is does anyone have any suggestions for a belt that will blend with the set, or that simply does not look too hideous? People at the ah are starting to tease me about if I will be leveling beltless in MoP just so I look good.

After spending an hr looking at myself in Mogit I have come up with the following potentials, though after a while of staring at those screens everything starts to look like it could be the right colour.

Frostscale Belt/Nerubian Belt (awesome cuz it's crafted)
Belt of Gale Force (Moroes Karahzan) The only time I've ever raided was in Kara. I might still be a bit traumatized by it, though I initially thought this one matched the best.
Wavesong girdle (auchenai crypts)

Has anyone else done any mix n match items for this set or have any other suggestions for me?

Just in case anyone is wondering why I didn't just look for the matching defender belt, it's because after I bought the bracers and stared at them for a long time in my bags, they started to look very blue to me and I wowheaded the belt and thought it looked more blue than lavender so I decided against it.

Frostscale does look good.
Have you thought about Verek's Leash? It's a drop from BRD. Has some gold studs on it, but otherwise a great fit.
Enduring Belt would look good, too. It's a level 29 drop.

What's your weapon choice?

I left my lava bolt crossbow as is. Fel-wrought Halberd is what i moged my ranseur of hatred to. I honestly have not seen any polearms I like but that one looked ok colourwise when I first seen it on the ah. I was looking for something plain and simple that didn't stand out too much. lol but I think my enchant makes them all look green and obnoxious.

Hersir's Greatspear would look ok, and since it has an included visual effect, your bright green enchant would be hidden. It's in ICC10 normal.
Plasma Rat's Hyper-Scythe is a great match, but would show your green enchant. It's in Mechanar.

IF you want a colour match for your crossbow, Adamantine Repeater from heroic Blood Furnace works.
Or Sky Piercer from Tol Barad vendor wouldn't be out of place. The Adamantine Repeater is a better match though.

Those are great suggestions, I'm hoping to get the Polearms article out tomorrow night. Would've been tonight but, well, something else came up (this).

Also this is probably a dumb question, but is there any way I can just take my enchant off? lol blizz lets us hide our ugly helms and cloaks, it seems like a major oversight for them to introduce xmog and not give a way to hide enchants.

Unfortunately, not yet. YET. It has been mentioned that it's something they're looking at for the future - the ability to hide enchant graphics.

So to update I tried out a few different bows, even one I found at the isle of quel danas vendor when I was farming MT. (an extremely rare leaving org occasion for me) That one was decidedly a bit too matchy matchy purpley. I had this polearm that I really liked in my bags, that I'd picked up cheap, while visiting keelhaul's server a while back that I really wanted to use.

While surfing through worldofwardrobes I seen a bow I really liked (honorable longbow) It seemed to have the same colour lavender as my outfit along with the same colour green from my polearm intertwined into it and I thought it had a pretty look.

I'm still working on it. I think it still needs something (other than a belt) not sure.



lol it took me weeks to find that bow on my crappy server, now that I finally got it last night, I almost like the bow and polearm more than the rest of the outfit. I wish the equipment manager would let you cycle through different mog outfits the way you can different gear set ups.

That's a really nice look. If there is a green & purple belt, or just a green of the same tone, that would help break it up and tie it in. I'll have a look next time I'm in game

Like the new bow, that's one of my favorite bow models. Incredibly unique - made my top 10. Side note I continue to sell those for about 2,000g a piece.

Well, I went searching for some belts that would tie the green and purple, and found 3 I liked.

I like the Nerubian the most. It has the green of the bow, but also brings back in purple from the set.

I fell in love instantly when I saw that bow.
lol and you don;t wanna know how much I paid for that bow! (or how long I had to wait before someone finally came up with it, once I decided I had to have it.) I seen it on my alt server for 18g and I bought it out of spite, even though I knew it would be absurd even for me to transfer a level 14 across servers just for my bow.
